Are you interested in how degrowth and climate justice are connected? In a relaxed atmosphere, we'll begin with a brief thematic introduction on degrowth and climate change, followed by a space for exchange, questions, and discussion. In addition to the open discussion, there will also be a silent discussion where you can share your thoughts in writing and discuss them with others. Drinks and snacks will be provided: There's a self-service bar with beer and soda, and snacks on the house. You are also welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks.

Öko Campus Wien is leading the workshop and providing insights into working with biodiversity in urban spaces as well as practical renaturation skills. We are creating a flowering area with native wild perennials and herbs in Hof 4.

We'll explore urban species conservation on foot and visit examples of active species conservation on the campus of the Öko Campus Wien association, featuring species such as wild bees, swifts, bats, and others. Afterwards, we'll use stencils to print our favorite species onto cotton T-shirts, bags, and other items we've brought along (any color except black is fine). The activity is intended to inspire us to take action for species conservation and climate protection ourselves. Bring your own (100% Cotton) item to print on!

In this workshop, we will examine the problems of our capitalist economic system and explore the historical roots of the degrowth movement – ​​from critiques of capitalism to the decolonization of development policy.

We will then look ahead: What visions and alternatives does degrowth offer? What might an economy look like that is not focused on growth, but on a good life for all? Together, we will discuss concrete approaches such as Universal Basic Services (UBS) and consider how to shape a solidarity-based and sustainable future.

A hands-on workshop that will teach you real skills for real life. Don't be intimidated by mechanical processes, this education and information is for everyone who wants to learn.
You can repair your own bike. In this course we cover basic knowledge such as how to change a flat tire, and also more advanced skills such as how to replace a shifting cable.

Bring your own bike with you for the course date.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the starting time. A short break will be provided if necessary.
