Events and tipps for the end of the semester

January is the most stressful month of the winter semester. To support you, we have compiled our own offers as well as offers from the University of Vienna here:

ÖH Childcare

During the exam week, we are organizing afternoon childcare together with the University of Vienna. This service covers the time between the end of kindergarten or all-day primary school and the evening hours (4:00–8:00 p.m.).

The service is free of charge and is intended to relieve you of the stress of having to find a babysitter. Registration is mandatory.

ÖH Study Days

Several ÖH Study Days will take place in January—ideal opportunities for focused, shared studying in a pleasant atmosphere.

You can expect quiet workspaces, plenty of time to study or complete assignments, and the option to work alone or with friends.

ISU Learning-Café for neurodivergent students

ISU supports students at the University of Vienna and works to make the university more inclusive.

The learning café is aimed at neurodivergent individuals. It uses the method of “body doubling,” or accompanied learning, to promote concentration.

Help with learning and researching from CTL

Whether you are struggling with academic language, need help writing an academic paper (even in your second language), want to learn about learning strategies, or need to think through your research project, the CTL offers advice, workshops, and opportunities for exchange!

Library Nightshift

The night shift takes place once per semester and offers you the opportunity to stay in the library all night.

This time, it will take place in the law library in the Juridicum.

During the night shift, you can get tips on researching and citing sources or take part in a crafting or yoga workshop.
