Are you new to Vienna and want to get to know the city and university life better? Are you still struggling with the German language and looking for support? Then become a mentee!
Have you been living in Vienna for a while, know your way around the university, and speak German? Would you like to help international students find their way around Vienna and the university? Then become a buddy!
The ÖH Buddy Project aims to make everyday student life easier for international students and promote intercultural friendships. Experienced students (buddies) are paired with new students (mentees) and brought together in WhatsApp groups according to their degree program.
Buddies support their mentees with organizational questions, share their experiences at university, hobbies, and cultural backgrounds, and give valuable tips for living in the city. Joint activities, cultural events, mutual support, and exploring the city together—the exchange is the focus.
